Ashanti Jones

Ashanti Jones is a 2LE at Rutgers Law School–Newark. She received her Bachelor of Arts from William Paterson University (Wayne, NJ), her Master of Social Work from Columbia University (New York, NY), and her Doctor of Philosophy in Social Work from Walden University (Minneapolis, MN). Ashanti has worked as a policy analyst at the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice and as a professor in the Community and Social Justice Studies department at William Paterson University. Her research interests include civil rights protections, racial disparities in the child welfare and juvenile legal systems, abolition, and the intersection of law, policy, and social justice.
