Marthalyn Johnson
An accomplished educator with a background in law and education, Marthalyn is currently pursuing a JD degree at Rutgers Law School. Prior to this, she earned a Master of Arts in Social Studies Education from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Legal Studies from Rutgers University. With a keen interest in community service and advocacy, Marthalyn has been actively involved in various organizations, including the Association of Black Law Students, as incoming Vice President of Academic Affairs, and the International Law Society, as a 1L representative. With extensive experience in teaching and curriculum development, Marthalyn has served as a Lead Social Studies Teacher and Curriculum Planner at KIPP NJ Rise Academy Middle School and Uncommon Schools - Camden Prep, where she demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to student success. Driven by a passion for education and social justice, Marthalyn brings a unique blend of academic rigor, practical experience, and dedication to her work.
