Maya Pacheco-Smith

Maya Pacheco-Smith is a 2L at Rutgers Law School in Newark, NJ. Currently, she serves as vice president of the Association of Black Law Students. Prior to law school, she earned a BA in psychology from Hampton University where she completed the pre-law track. Additionally, she worked for Sidley Austin LLP as a project assistant and for Bank of America as a paralegal, both in New York City, primarily focusing on capital markets and M&A matters. This summer, Maya is a judicial intern at the Superior Court of New Jersey, Union County. Although her career goals are not quite set, Maya is interested in real estate and corporate law, and perhaps working on cases relating to housing advocacy and tenants’ rights.
